Targeted and intuitive research takes time and legwork. Abbe Leffel gathers, synthesizes and presents data that is cogent, and immediately useful.
With a Masters Degree in Library Science, Leffel has been involved in various kinds of research projects for the last 20 years. Her original experience was heavy in Dialog, Lexus/Nexus and other specific research platforms of the time. She went on to be a Research Manager in Arthur Andersen's Global Best Practices Group. Abbe's research team supported best practices research, data collection and synthesis for the group's writers developing the ongoing consulting resource packages that were sold to clients on a global level through the Global Best Practices resource.
As the internet progressed, and needs for clients began to change, "research" requests quite often entailed legwork, phone calls, gathering raw information, chasing company names and logos, getting releases for information, likeness usage, or liability. Abbe's in depth expertise comes from her ability to "jump into" a project and hit the ground running. Her projects are often diverse and can need everything from raw data, collected data, information gathering, and then "synthesizing" it all into something easily digestible, usable, and immediately essential.
